A LITTLE ABOUT RAY GARCIA

Ray Garcia is a seasoned bass player based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, whose rich musical journey began in Puerto Rico. His earliest and most profound influence was his father, who played guitar in a Latin trio. Growing up surrounded by a vibrant tapestry of sounds—including Salsa, Merengue, Rock, Motown, Jazz, Country, and the timeless classics of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett—Ray developed a deep, genre-defying appreciation for music. To Ray, the specific style of music matters far less than its emotional impact. He is driven by music that evokes a powerful feeling, whether it sparks joy, touches a painful memory, transports the listener to another era, or simply moves people to dance and sing along.

Throughout his accomplished career, Ray has shared the stage with an array of highly talented musicians, performing across genres ranging from secular favorites to Christian music. An inspired songwriter, he channels personal life events and the
stories of those close to him into original compositions. His songwriting prowess reached national heights with his original track, "Sweet, Sweet Music". The song won the WQAM radio talent search in Florida before capturing the grand prize in a
national contest based in California, leading to its recording by the historic Curb Records label.

Currently, Ray holds down the low end for the Reflections Variety show band, a premier group of seasoned professionals whose collective talent continues to inspire him. Ray approaches every gig with a deeply rooted philosophy: audiences do not look for perfection; they look for honesty.

inviting the audience to leave their troubles behind and lose themselves in the music for a few unforgettable hours.
